Waste Solutions Manager
As a Waste Solutions Manager at Nauset Disposal, you will be responsible for growing our commercial customer base and providing a superior level of service to existing customers. This position requires an outgoing and upbeat personality in order to capture new business, maintain and service current customers, and build customer loyalty. This is not an office job! Time will largely be spent on the road building new business relationships in a relatively new territory. This position is a high volume B2B selling, customer maintenance and customer retention opportunity. It is not a telemarketing position and requires creative thinking.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new commercial accounts
- Responsible for prospecting and closing sales opportunities to achieve budgeted sales goals by developing and implementing sound selling strategies
- Manage prospects and maintain sales pipeline (both in terms of quantity and quality) to achieve goals for new sales
- Develop and execute a sales plan for new business to develop our growing territory
- Conduct cold calls to continually build business pipeline and brand recognition
- Actively participate in networking, when appropriate, and the company’s charitable initiatives
- Demonstrate knowledge of customers’ needs, pricing and competition; effectively communicate pricing and service strategies; proactively engage other Nauset Disposal business opportunities, referring internally as appropriate
Experience:
- Proven sales experience in B2B sales, cold calling, and prospecting, resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments
- Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategy
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Solid presentation, negotiation and closing skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Experience in a competitive market environment (solid waste or recycling a major plus)
- Excellent computer proficiency skills (MS Office Suite and CRM software)
