We would like to thank the American Red Cross of the Cape and Islands for honoring our own Shawn DeLude with the Mrs. Grace Snow Community Impact Award at the 2015 American Red Cross Heroes Breakfast on 4/10. Shawn is completely honored and humbled to have received the award.

It takes a very talented individual to hold an annual “Trash Bash” to inspire the community to support local non-profits. But the real heroism was displayed after a tragic event on September 22, 2014 when a young life was cut short. A tragic fire in a shed impacted a local family in an immeasurable way. The family and the community was grieving and needed support to begin the healing process. Shawn and his team immediately removed the shed where the fire took place from the family’s home so they could start the healing process without a daily reminder of the event. This is another example of Shawn stepping up to help the community by donating his services for others. He stands as a shining example of public service to his peers in the business community.
