Giving Back to the Community and Environment

It’s no secret that Nauset Disposal is a big community supporter. It’s also obvious, given the nature of our business, that we are advocates for our environment. But how do those two tie together? There are many local organizations that support environment sustainability and pull in the support of year round and seasonal residents, as well as tourists. A few of these organizations are the Cape Cod Commercial Fisherman’s Alliance, the Community Development Partnership and CARE for the Cape & Islands. These organizations, and so many other local non-profits, are valuable community partners that share the same vision as Nauset Disposal: to make Cape Cod a cleaner and greener place for all to enjoy. Here’s a little information on each organization- visit their websites for more information on how you can get involved with each.

Cape Cod Commercial Fisherman’s Alliance is an organization founded on an in depth understanding of the ocean and the life in it, and is aimed at protecting fish and fishing for future generations.

Community Development Partnership developed a Community Investment Plan, the aim of which is to strengthen business sectors on the lower Cape, increase affordability of housing and to increase energy efficiency and local renewable energy generation.

CARE for the Cape & Islands is Cape Cod’s first travelers’ philanthropy initiative and seeks to encourage, support and create opportunities for visitors to donate their time and talent to help preserve and protect our local environment.

“BIG kudos to your driver who picked up at Eastham Cape Cod Five today! He did a remarkable job navigating our parking lot this morning. We had 2 big Eversource trucks with trailers along with a car blocking half the driveway, making backing out a challenge, but he maneuvered like a pro! Nicely done! I always like to hear positive feedback, so I thought I would pass it along.”
