HAPPY SUMMER! July 4th is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate with a fireworks show!? We’ve got the full schedule of 4th of July festivities, including fireworks and parades right here for you.

Although we love a good show, it’s important to keep in mind that fireworks leave a big mess on our beaches. We want to take this opportunity to ask you to be extra vigilant and make sure to pick up any litter left behind {even if you’re not responsible for it} and to spread the word to your pyrotechnic loving friends that there are greener alternatives out there for fireworks.

Since fireworks are considered explosives, they cannot be recycled. The best way to dispose of them, per the National Council on Fireworks Safety we should “dispose of spent fireworks by wetting them down and placing them in a metal trash can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day”.

Have a SAFE + FUN holiday with your friends and loved ones!
