Town of Falmouth Residential Customers

Thanksgiving is such an amazing time of year, especially here on Cape Cod. The change in season provides us with the ability to enjoy our beautiful environment and it brings us to the end of our busy season. This provides us with some down time to reflect on all that has happened thus far in 2015.

As I reflect back on this year, I realize just how much I have to be thankful for. 2015 marks Nauset Disposal’s 15th year in business and it is truly amazing to think about how far we have come. Back in 2000 it was just myself and a few loyal customers in the Lower Cape that I serviced on my own with a pick-up truck. Fast forward to 2015 and we now have thousands of accounts all across Cape Cod, over 30 employees and over 30 different trucks. But the transition between 2000 and 2015 could not have happened without my amazing team here in the office and on the trucks and it especially could not have happened without you, our customers.

I am also extremely thankful that as a team we are in a position to be able to give back to our local community. Living year-round on Cape Cod provides us with a true prospective of just how many people are in need. I am grateful that at Nauset Disposal we are able to make giving back to our community a priority in our business. This past year alone we were able to donate over $100,000 in both monetary and in-kind contributions to local non-profits and for this we were awarded the Mrs. Grace Swan Community Service Award from the American Red Cross. I would like to thank all of you who donated to the fundraisers our staff has participated in the past year, all of you who attended and supported our annual fundraiser, the Trash Bash, and those of you who most recently contributed to our Curb Hunger Campaign where we collected non-perishable items for the local food pantries. We truly could not do all this without your support.

On a more personal level, I am thankful and honored to work alongside my brother Tim, our operations manager, and a very strong and local group of team members. My staff and their families are your neighbors and members of our community. As Nauset Disposal continues to grow as a company in all of its divisions, it benefits all of us and supports our families and community. This year we are excited to have added four new babies to the Nauset Disposal family and there are more on the way!

In short, I am thankful for my team and their families. I am thankful for your continued and future support. I am honored to share Cape Cod with all of you and wish everyone a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Shawn DeLude
