Get Your Summer Off to a Green Start

Are you wondering how you can be a little greener this summer? Or perhaps thinking of ways you can support local business? Buy local. Buy local. Buy local. We can’t say this enough {and it doesn’t just pertain to food}! Local grocers, farmers markets + farm stands are great places to shop for your produce and ensures that your food hasn’t traveled thousands of miles just to reach your plate. Do your part to help cut down on fossil fuels, help reduce levels of pollution and resource depletion, and support the Cape Cod economy. Check out Buy Fresh Buy Local Cape Cod‘s Guide to Local Farms + Food for your complete list of farmers markets and farm stands.

Need some other items and not sure where you can get them locally, without going online? Check out Love Live Local’s recent posts on keeping it local when it comes to shopping for your home + family :: read it here.

2017 Cape Cod Fireworks Schedule

HAPPY SUMMER! July 4th is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate with a fireworks show!? We’ve got the full schedule of 4th of July festivities, including fireworks and parades right here for you.

Although we love a good show, it’s important to keep in mind that fireworks leave a big mess on our beaches. We want to take this opportunity to ask you to be extra vigilant and make sure to pick up any litter left behind {even if you’re not responsible for it} and to spread the word to your pyrotechnic loving friends that there are greener alternatives out there for fireworks

Since fireworks are considered explosives, they cannot be recycled. The best way to dispose of them, per the National Council on Fireworks Safety we should “dispose of spent fireworks by wetting them down and placing them in a metal trash can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day”.

Have a SAFE + FUN holiday with your friends and loved ones!

Happy Customers

“Cape Cod Theatre Company – Home of the Harwich Jr. Theatre has been a customer of Nauset Disposal for nearly a decade. I am so impressed with the reliable service your company offers. Our theatre presents a dozen shows a year and our needs for disposal pick-ups are often unpredictable;  especially during the busy summer months.  I have called, more than once, in a panic that our dumpster filled up overnight with the striking of a set, and that we were expecting a busy weekend to boot. I am always met with a friendly voice and a willingness to schedule an early pick-up. Your office staff and drivers are always polite, kind and helpful. Nauset Disposal has faithfully serviced a variety of our needs on a  year-round basis for many years. Your customer service is top-notch and we truly appreciate it.”
